Description

This session is an introductory presentation for primary teachers and leaders wanting to optimise children’s learning through a play-based pedagogy, and ideally suited to primary teachers who are new to or early in their Walker Learning journey. Join us from the comfort of home or your school for our NEW online delivery, as we explore the key elements of Walker Learning in the early primary years F/K/P/R to Year 2 including:

  • The research and philosophy of Walker Learning
  • Creating engaging learning environments
  • The investigation session
  • How to authentically link literacy and numeracy into investigations
  • Implementation strategies for teams and schools
  • Introduction to Walker Learning documentation which links to the existing curriculum framework.

This informative webinar examines the Walker Learning pedagogy through presentation slides and an expert panel discussion with our consultants. We will also be introducing Teacher Talks where we will be joined by a Walker Learning accredited teacher from one of our Walker Learning schools who will discuss their Walker Learning journey and implementation strategies used in their classroom and school. We also include video footage and photos from Walker Learning classrooms across Australia. The session will conclude with an audience Q&A.

*Online or face to face customised Walker Learning Overviews for individual schools or teams, can be arranged on request.
