An increasing number of children face challenges that affect their ability to focus attention, regulate difficult emotions, build inner resilience, and form healthy and supportive relationships.
It is now more important than ever to learn effective ways to help calm children's anxiety while providing them with supportive relationships, nurturing experiences, and positive learning environments.
Mindfulness, described as the practice of 'being in the moment and being present and open to what you're focusing on,' has been found to reduce anxiety and improve concentration, productivity, and sleep.
Join us from the comfort of your living room, garden, or even your work environment for a series of online workshops followed by a full day face to face workshop. This course presented by Anne Love, in conjunction with Early Life Foundations will focus on how to establish your own practice and how effectively to introduce age-appropriate mindfulness and meditation practices into your classroom. Practices will include simple meditations, movement, activities, games & discussion.
Anne has taught mindfulness and meditation in many primary schools working with each year level as well as with teachers and parents. She is a certified Mindful Schools Teacher, certified Meditation and MBSR teacher, and is registered with the Australian Meditation Association. She has a Masters of Education and Bachelor of HRM.
