Ready Set Go! Is this Child Ready for Kindergarten or School? This popular session examines the elements to consider in fostering a smooth transition to school. By working together, we can equip children for a successful start to their educational journey!

Participants attending Ready Set Go! Is this Child Ready for Kindergarten or School? will:

• Be reminded of the significance of social and emotional development and the importance of building strong, warm relationships and connections that foster trust and security.
• Review child development and your understandings the stages of maturation, development and the child’s temperament.
• Be encouraged to consider a range of factors including personality and the child’s position in the family.
• Be given confidence to articulate both the benefits of how a play based preschool program supports school readiness and general expectations of starting school to families and caregivers.
• Review the importance of Transition Statements and creating clear decision making processes and timelines.
• Understand the importance of building partnerships with schools and families to facilitate the smooth transition to school.

Educators in NSW, VIC, QLD, ACT, WA, SA, NT and Tasmania who complete this course will be provided with a certificate and are able to use this course towards their maintenance of Registration requirements.
