Bush Kinder - Starting an Outdoor Learning ProgramSRF Wellbeing Student Wellbeing

Are you ready to start an off-site outdoor learning (Bush Kinder) program? Let us guide you on your Bush Kinder journey.

Our face-to-face event is a SCHOOL READINESS FUNDING APPROVED PD in Victoria.

Why bush kinder? What do you need to know to get started?

Participants will engage in pedagogical theory, practical activities and collaborative learning in the outdoors. You will learn how to establish routines, consider risk benefit/assessments, and resource Bush Kinder experiences to enhance children’s well being.

Principles of sustainability, equity, diversity, and inclusion will be addressed along with relational pedagogy and partnerships.

Join us for a day of bush kinder to observe the children and educators in a natural outdoor learning environment.

This inspiring day combines theory and practice exploring the following:

  • A visit to a local bush kinder program
  • The critical role of the natural environment in the lives of young children
  • Practical considerations to set up in your context
  • Question and answer session with an experienced bush kindergarten teacher

This PD is a must for teachers and educators working with children aged birth to five, working in early childhood centres (prior to primary school)
